College Diaries-III (A Special Bday)

"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen."  - Einstein
"And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years." - AB Lincoln

" 18 is the age at which i was supposed to get wisdom, maturity and decision taking capability. But what I got instead was lots and lots of love and memories, thanks to the hostel life."
18! It doesn’t sound practical, but it sure changes the way of your life. It was the day I turned 18!!
First time in my life it was not the price that is highlighted in
CCD. The pleasant view of never ending waters and long
ranged trees stunned my eye, through the balcony of CCD(lake view).
This green bluish scenario(of course wrong wordings, but I
Kind of like the sound of it!!!) has left me gazing at it. It was one of
the great lunch I ever had, thanks to my friends Bhargav and
Ravi. This treat even made me forget hundreds of wishes and
few ‘important’ phone calls I got that day.
I was given a diary and a parker pen as gifts, rather as the
compensations for the pain caused by GPL. That was a real
severe one, my GPL programme. As the clock was ticking nearer to 12, I started wearing more and more layers of trousers and my friends giving me a look of typical south indian movie goons.
Pain remained for two days
and the crazy experience for life time! That was the day I realised why  students keep broken LAN wires and belts safe with them.

In my childhood I was
told that birthday was that one day which reminds you of
your count of friends. But I feel that it is the one day which
also gives a false count of friends, since many of them wish u just
because fb reminds them to wish!!! These pseudo
relationships , in my view , are equal to rotten relationships.
These wishes never give happiness acquired when any one
wishes you whole heartedly.

Adding to all of the unforgettable experiences that day, she
made my Birthday fill with joy, excitement and lots of love.
She asked me to pick up from her hostel at 6 and there I was
waiting for her. Oh my god! That was my first reaction when I
saw her that evening. She was looking absolutely stunning in
her Black and red blended saree. I was sure everyone would
be out of their minds at the restaurant. Oops, I forgot to tell
you, she planned a candle light dinner for us. The light of the
candle was reflecting on her face, making her look more
beautiful. She fed me that day treating me like a small child.
And finally while leaving she gave me most precious gift of
Life- The first kiss! Of course not more precious than the pure
hearted blessings of my parents. But it was more magical. I
was just perplexed. We did not talk in the ride back to
hostel. But while bading goodbye, I ended my most
memorable birthday with a promise to her that we would not
be parting until I see off my last Birthday, making it
memorable for her too.

College Diaries II

“That moments when you feel lonely even when you’re crowded with buddies,
That moment when you feel your heart filled with your tears missing your beloved ones,
That moments when your feet starts moving automatically see(k)ing someone special.”

These are the most painful and beautiful moments in my life and college life gave me a lot of these.

Like everyone else I too faced the pain of being departed from the persons who love me the most- my mom and dad.
Every single time I made a mess of my life by any reason, I miss my dad’s scoldings, which have been guiding me all these days of my life.
Whenever I get injured(read it “everyday”), whenever  our mess food is a mess(read it “nearly every day”) and  whenever I feel lonely (read it “every moment”), I miss my mom’s hand on my shoulders giving hope of love all through my life.

But a new path was awaiting me in this crazy hostel life, where there are no more early mornings and sun rises. Midnights become the peak points and rank in Counter strike becomes the prestige issue. Laptops are the precious possessions and bathing daily is a silly joke. Outing with friends becomes favourite moments and GPL becomes the best birthday gifts. Study is a rare thing and bikes are iconic. On the whole, “Hostel life is a beauty of the port to the ship of life.

It was Friday. As always I woke up early at 5.30 am to find my room mates still sleeping. As my daily routine goes, I had gone for a long walk around the campus. I prefer long walks as H7(girl’s hostel) is quite far from our hostel ! The most beautiful sight I relish daily is of the pleasant sunrise from infinite emptiness, besides the routine of pigs and dogs coming in the way now and then. Crossing many beautiful things and everlasting greenery I’ve reached my destination. As usual I started doing warm up waiting for ‘someone’. Like the primary nature of girls, there she comes late again, apologising so sweetly that I wished she would be late daily. We started walking together. If the previous one, from my hostel to H7 was a walk on Earth, then this was me, floating in paradise. Oh my god, she looked so cute in her jogging outfit. The way she adjusts her hair, the way she holds my hand, the way she stands with me, no matter whatever the situation may be, everything was perfect. Stars were fading away slowly, not because of the sunshine but due to her glittering eyes. That everlasting greenery was nowhere to be found as everything seemed to reflect off her beautiful red lips. We never miss this morning walk which makes our day. This never ending walk ended with a warm hug and a sweet kiss which were no way mortal. Heart was pounding with happiness when I returned to my room. It was almost time for college and my roommates were just leaving. But for me, I left a post in the mechanical group on facebook, proposing a GT(mass bunk) and went into deep sleep having full confidence in my batch
